Wrenn: Dems making everyone mad

Democrats are acting like grown-ups and working to provide the necessary services to our people and paying the bills, just like everyone else.

If the NCGOP can get its act together and field some good candidates they can sweep the democrats out of Raleigh.Can't run those same old tired "little government" candidates.That train has left the station.Seems ike all they want is to get elected and then when elected do not eant to govern.

Opie wants some answers and turns to RTB at the Dome:

Opie: Pa, this raising taxes and cutting spending business is really confusing. Everybody is mad at everybody. You know what? I’m going get on Dome and get RTB to explain it to me.
Andy: Op, I’ve got some more bad news. RTB has gone to Washington, DC.
Opie: The nation’s capitol? RTB?
Andy: Yes, son, he has gone on to the big time.
Opie: You mean he has left old man McCratchit?
Andy: Yes, Op, RTB is in the big leagues now.
Opie: This is worse than some of those UNC basketball players jumping to the NBA!
Andy: Well, Op, RTB went up there to work for the N & O but evidently the bright lights got to him and he succumbed to the allure of power. He’s probably up there wearing those tropical worsted suits and two-tone saddle oxford shoes.
Opie: That RTB always was a sharp dresser!
Andy: That he was.
Opie: Do you reckon they enticed RTB with lobbyist chicken?
Andy: I doubt it. I really doubt it. You see….. the newspaper people are wary of lobbyists. If you ever see lobbyists and a newspaper person in the same room it will look like a lion tamer (newspaper person) and a pack of wild lions (lobbyists.) And if you ever see a newspaper person and a lobbyist in a one-on-one situation the newspaper person will circle the lobbyist like the croc hunter used to circle the reticulated python (Python reticulatus). A newspaper person around a lobbyist who isn’t careful ………(this part deleted due to subject content of an adult nature and not suitable for those under 40 or those still living at home.)
Opie: What’s going to happen to the Dome?
Andy: There were always others who worked on the Dome other than RTB. He was like the main man but others were “contributors.” So now they are stepping up trying to fill RTB’s saddle oxfords. They have even got some working for the Dome as far away as Charlotte! Op, they use big words in Charlotte so get the dictionary ready.
Opie: Will anyone gain the fame of RTB?
Andy: That’s a hard question, Op. Not many will be able to blaze a trail like RTB. But if these new guys work hard and stay away from felonies they just might make it.
Opie: I’m gonna send RTB a card. What’s his address?
Andy: Just mail it to: “RTB, c/o White House, Washington, DC.” That’s all the address you will need, Op. When President Obama goes to the mail box and sees your card for RTB he will probably run it right over to RTB or wait until they meet for lunch.
Opie: I always knew that RTB was headed to the top.
Andy: He’s an inspiration to us all.
Opie: And he got out of the state before the tax increase!
Andy: Do you suppose he knew? I wonder…………?????????

It all starts at the top. They are just following our Governor who can't make up her mind.
