Video: Secretary of State forum ends with an Occupy attack

In case you missed the Secretary of State candidates forum, watch above. There's a few interesting exchanges -- including one on lobbying law where Democrat Elaine Marshall wants lobbyists compensation made public but Republican Ed Goodwin says the laws are fine now.

Another interesting bit: toward the end (minute 50) Goodwin drops a bomb against Democrat Elaine Marshall about the Occupy movement. Marshall didn't get to respond -- but read more about it here.

Job Description

I find odd that Sec. Marshall scolded her opponent because if elected he wans to meet with 100 Chamber of Commerce's: 100 County Commission Chairs: 100 County Economic Development Officers to speak to them about what the Sec. of States Office can do to better serve the people of this state.  She claimed that it was not in the job description and the office is not charged with such activity.  But yet she meets with the occupy movement.    Whether or not one agrees with the Occupy Movement or not is one thing, but Mrs. Marshall appears to not to understand that most people in the private sector, whether it is the CEO of a corporation or a dishwasher often have to do things outside of their job description to get their job done.  For those lucky enough to have jobs right now.  I certainly hope that the Goodwin campaign and more importantly the media take Mrs. Marshall to task on her not wanting to go above and beyond the call of duty.
