U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss, a surrogate for Mitt Romney, will make three stops in North Carolina on Monday to rally the Republican troops ahead of Tuesday's big election. This is the Georgia senator's second trip to North Carolina for the GOP ticket. He will visit three GOP offices: Rocky Mount, Wilson County and Smithfield.
The events are lower key than the big Democratic surrogates visiting the state in the final days -- Bill Clinton and Michelle Obama -- as the Republicans focus their attention on other battlegrounds, confident that North Carolina will go red.
