jjsmith2, well let's talk about what's good for North Carolina. But before we do that, let's have North Carolinians that are fully aware of their rights and freedoms and be alert to people who try to hurt North Carolina and America. If anyone say something, let's make sure it's fact based. If we sense it's not, then let's prove them WRONG with facts. I am not here as a North Carolinian to be HOODWINKED or SNAKE-CHARMED with HOLLOW SPEECHES. And I don't want to be SOLD DOWN THE RIVER. North Carolina can be and should be a STRONG STATE. We have resources here which can to a greater extent take care of ourselves. But we are not here to be sold ELIXIR MEDICINES by swindlers whose hands get into our NC pockets.

With this blog being ruined by individuals who do nothing but post the talking points. It used to be a nice place to come and see what was happening around the state and see what others were thinking. Not so much anymore.

I am glad I won't have to be reading misleading diatribes come Tuesday evening.

Ryan or RTB, you don't have to lose your nerves or the last one. You are doing OK. Well, that's the cost of being a moderator of a blog. As long as the blogger is saying or printing the TRUTH, let others dispute it. If they cannot rebut or disprove them, tough lack. It is puzzling this new Survivor/OprahWinfrey/AmericanIdol consciousness where the bizarre is applauded as reality and image is more important than substance, and is brought about by overwhelming dissatisfied Americans have for government that cheated, lied and stolen from them for at least the last two generations. For minorities, in particular blacks, this election represents a moment of long-awaited validation. No question the election of an AfroAmerican president will empower blacks of this country. This is not a racist statement, but just a fact, and in many respects this could be a good thing. But there is no denying the sense of audacious rebellion constantly simmers in much of the black community, particularly with the youth of large metro areas. It is with concern the election of a black president will take us back to a consciousness that PROMOTES THE POWER OF RACE over INTELLIGENCE, REASON, and the VALUE OF LAW, and this may DIVIDE BLACK and WHITES MORE than UNITING THEM.

I don't have any problem at all with anyone of the Muslim faith as long as they are NOT EXTREMIST MILITANT RADICAL MUSLIMS INTENT TO KILL OR MAIM US IN THE NAME OF THEIR MISREPRESENTED "ALLAH." Such KILLING or JIHADIST VALUES are NOT OUR TRUE AMERICAN VALUES which respect the LIFE of any or all individuals. We True Americans value LIFE.

If some of the people don't agree with the statements, let them prove their case with FACTS. Let's just keep our discussions to the FACTS. Are these statements UNTRUTHS? Let those who say so prove it with FACTS. Why can't they? BECAUSE IT IS THE TRUTH!!

Zbigniew Brezinski is an individual who worked under the Carter administration NSA, with questionable conduct and dealings. Black Panther Black Supremacist Louis Farrakhan invited Obama to sit and put together the Million Man March. Obama not only sat with this racist doubtful character Farrakhan but also embraced and marched with him. Obama also did not renounce the TUCC pastor Wright for giving Farrakhan its TUCC HIGHEST AWARD.

Syrian-born Obama fundraiser and supporter Tony “SlumLord” Rezko is under indictment and on trial in Chicago for a laundry list of felonies, mostly corruption. He is a land developer. Obama bought a Mansion for $1.65 million from a doctor in Chicago for $300,000 less than the asking price. Obama wanted the adjacent piece of land but did not want to spend the $625,000. So, Mrs.Rezko bought the land for the quoted price and sold it the same day to Barack and Michelle for $104,500. Obama was a Senator from Illinois at the time. Why would Obama not wonder WHY the Rezkos would sustain a loss of that magnitude for him? Could it be for future favors down the road. Again he knows nothing. His only comment was that was "bone-headed on my part. These facts are indisputable. He also received a couple million dollars for his campaign fund from Tony “SlumLord” Rezko but ONLY admitted to $10,000 until Obama got caught. He then only gave the money to charity favorable to Obama.

Some rabid Obama supporters say that since Obama did not make these remarks, you cannot hold him responsible. Why would anyone sit in a pew for 20 years with such fiery, hateful, racist, bigotry coming out of all places, his Pastor’s Mouth? If Obama claims his views do not resonate with the pastor’s, Obama. Michelle and their children should have run, not just walked out of that church and kept his distance. But he still embraces and adores his pastor as if he were "an uncle". Keep the "uncle", get rid of Grandma. When he reads his speeches he is very fluent and rhythmatic. When he misdirects the truth, he stutters and stammers. He also says that Wright introduced him to Christianity. Well, what was he before that?

Pastor Wright: “God Damn America. The US government infected black men with HIV/AIDS...., Chickens coming home.....KKK America.” Wheww, not a normal Sunday Christian sermon. Wright has not apologized to the American people for his remarks which are highly insulting to both whites and blacks. Wright even crossed the lines to include Jews. He sold these tapes to bring large profits to himself and his TUCC church. Obama denied ever hearing these remarks even though his wife said she did. Obama denounced his “racist” white Grandma but not his hateful pastor. Wright has appeared on TV and still unrepentant of his hateful words against America. Wright says Obama speech is political and his is Biblical. Where do the above remarks appear in the Bible? It’s hateful instead of forgiving. STOP BARACK, THE POLITICAL CHAMELEON. BARACK CHANGES AT THE FLIP OF A SWITCH.

Hillary Voter Story - As inspirational as it gets.
I have a friend here who is a lot younger than me. I wanted to convey her story to you because it speaks directly as to why so many of us are drawn to Hillary. This is maybe a little long but well worth the read.

My friend (I will call her Karen to protect her privacy) was born into a polygamist family in Wyoming. There were 8 "sister wives". The children, which numbered nearly fifty, were "home schooled". Not like your typical home schooled kids but rather kept at home so they could work them like beasts. Karen spent the first 15 years of her life as basically a slave to the family ranch/farm.

When she was barely 15, she was raped. (She never divulged to me or anyone else who did it so I suspect family member.) Anyway, she became pregnant. Her father married her off to a friend's son and she was expelled from the family.

Her new husband treated her as a concubine. She kept house, raised 4 children in 5 years and worked every day on the family cattle ranch. She was not allowed to have a checking account but rather had to ask him for money to buy anything. She had no friends except me because I just would not let him get rid of me.

He abused her physically and mentally. One of her kids called me once and said he had beat her and torn her cloths off of her and she was hiding in the cornfield naked. I went there and told her husband he would have to kill me to stop me from taking her out of there. The husband also had huge alcohol and drug issues. In her mind, because he had "rescued" her from being an unmarried woman with a baby and by taking her and a child that was not his in, SHE OWED HIM.Just when you think this could not be any worse, it gets worse.

Her youngest child was a beautiful daughter named Laramie. When Laramie was just 10, her and a cousin were riding on a 4 wheeler herding cows when the 4 wheeler flipped over. Karen had to pull the 4 wheeler off of her and do CPR. Long story short, Laramie will never walk, speak, eat or do anything for herself ever again.

Karen assumed full responsibility for all Laramie's care. The little girl has to wear diapers. She has a feeding tube in her stomach. She now weighs 111 lbs. Karen weighs 90 and is a size 2.

The worthless piece-of-s**t husband started abusing Karen again because he said "all you do is take care of the kid. What about me?" He was jealous of his own child.
The last time he ever hit Karen, he threw the daughter onto the bed roughly. For Karen, that was the last straw.
She ended up calling the police and had him arrested.

Everyone that could, helped get her into a rental house (We live in a town of only 450 people.) The owner of the house said he would not charge her any rent. We all scrapped up whatever furniture we could find. The husband would not let her take anything, even beds for his 3 boys and 1 daughter to sleep on.

Karen had never worked a real job in her life and had no high school diploma. I told her how to get her GED and told her she would easily qualify for a Pell Grant for college.
The daughter receives 530.00 a month from Social Security.

It has been nearly 4 years. Somehow, and I have no clue why, this brave young mother with a severely handicapped child has managed to finish school and is nnow getting a nursing degree. She finds time for her boys activities, like little league and 4H. She finds time to study. She takes her daughter to physical therapy 3 times per week. She cooks, she cleans and she does laundry. She routinely puts in 18 hour days. What I have told you is Karens story and it is sadly, all true.

We met for a quick cup of coffee at the local restaurant (The Cowtown Cafe!) last week. We talked about the primary race. I asked her if she was voting. She said she had never voted in her life but registered so that she could vote for Hillary. She said she admired Hill's courage during those dark days in the White House and she said that helped her (Karen) to endure her marriage and find the strength to go on. She said "I have never voted. And now, at 33 year's old, I will get to vote for the first time and vote for a woman. A woman who has inspired me to work towards a better future. A woman who never gave up and never gives up now. I know if she can win this, I have nothing to fear for my life. Somehow, my kids and I will make it." Karen is not just my friend, she is my hero.
And Hillary is her hero.
