Tillis renominated House Speaker

House Speaker Thom Tillis was unanimously renominated to serve a second term by the GOP House caucus on Saturday.
“I am honored by the unanimous support of the Republican Caucus,” Tillis said in a statement.  “During our first two years, we were able to accomplish great things for the state of North Carolina.  I am confident in the exemplary group of individuals we have assembled and their abilities to build on the work we began during our first session in the majority.  I look forward to leading them for the next two years.”
