House Speaker Thom Tillis Tuesday named the chairs of the House Appropriations subcommitttees.
Chairing eduction will be Reps. Hugh Blackwell of Burke), Craig Horn of Union, and Chuck McGrady of Henderson.
Chairing General Government will be Reps. George Cleveland of Onslow and Rayne Brown of Davidson.
Heading Health & Human Services will be Reps. Marilyn Avila of Wake, William Brisson, a Democrat from Bladen, and Mark Hollo of Alexander.
The Information Technology subcommittee will be chaired by Rep. Jason Saine of Lincoln.
Chairing Justice & Public Safety will be Reps. Leo Daughtry of Johnston, Jamie Boles of Moore, Pat Hurley of Randolph and John Faircloth of Guilford.
Chairing Natural & Economic Resources will be Reps. Roger West of Cherokee and Pat McElraft of Carteret.
Heading Transportation will be chaired by Reps. John Torbett of Gaston Gaston and Phil Shepard of Onslow.
The only Democrat was Brisson, who voted with the Republicans last session to help override gubernatorial vetoes.
