Site 'grades' Sen. Burr

A Democratic activist in Raleigh has set up a Web site to grade U.S. Sen. Richard Burr.

Jerimee Richir, who until recently worked for the N.C. Democratic Party, set up GradeBurr.com, which allows users to rate the Winston-Salem Republican on issues such as the economy and education.

The scales are tipped a little against Burr, with a not particularly flattering photograph and rankings that begin with "He deserves an F" and include "I'll let him slide with a B."

Still, it has attracted fans of Burr. After an overall rating of F by some 60 users on Sunday, the site went to 182 users and an average grade of B-minus by this morning.

"He is a true statesman who works hard for the people of North Carolina," reads a comment left by a Winston-Salem resident.

Created on May 18, the site is hosted by a company that hosts Web sites for as little as $5.95 a month.

Re: Site 'grades' Sen. Burr

(but WHO would spell the name of a male Jerimee? Is he transgendered?)

Anything's possible. You could ask him or her here at Jerimee's Swan Song 4.0 frontpaged on BlueNC.

Since we now know Clown School is off the table from his previous contributions, looking for a pat on the back from the last 12 people that still think GradeBurr.com was a good idea may not be, in spite of the fact that 41 percent of North Carolinians have NEVER heard of Burr!

We'll see who responds.

On Jerimee's request this post should be labeled, META, since it's all about him.

Re: Site 'grades' Sen. Burr

Sen. Burr is the best we have, he gets an A for perserverence in a corrupt democrackkk culture in NC...

(but WHO would spell the name of a male Jerimee? Is he transgendered?)

Re: Sorry: Richir not a Burr in the Saddle at all

I'll miss you too, Gosh. :)

Sorry: Richir not a Burr in the Saddle at all

Was that clever enough for Roll Call?

Re: Site 'grades' Sen. Burr

Two reasons why this site is a waste of Mr. Richir's $6.00:

Easy, if he's a real "progressive."

That's either $6 to help the North Carolina Lottery on his way out of town, or a Gin & Tonic at Legends to get a ride back to where he came from.

Re: Jerimee Richir

Seriously, the metaphor in your headline is gross. Please try to pick more tasteful figures of speech in the future.

Thanks!

Jerimee Richir is a boil on Dems butt, Not Burr's

Burr is up to a B.

I'm now curious if Richir is officially working for the NRSC, or just too stupid to know he is.

I read this today among many, many quotes by him on Blue NC, insinuating some problem at the official NCDP about not being "progressive" enough in the Senate chase...

Don't get me wrong, shot-callers in DC and Raleigh probably will actually decide who the candidate is. Is that how we would like for our candidate to be selected?

But I guess I shouldn't be surprised given his off-the-reservation approach in the past that got him fired from being an official spokesman of anything but his navel lint, not to mention his current resume objective he promotes on GradeBurr.com.

Objective: To build the progressive movement in the South by integrating field, communications, and data management strategies.

Jerimee, if GradeBurr.com is any indication of your talent, please stop helping.

There's a chance 4 years at ACORN didn't prepare you for public life in NC any more than Jerry Meek did for the past two cycles of inherited success against the Progressive grain.

For details, see the grown ups at the NCDP that fired you.

Admin: Please add the Jerimee Richir tag you created to this item so mainstream North Carolina Democrats know when you're just promoting fringe "progressives" in the news unworthy of anything but ridicule, and not indicative of anything actual North Carolina Democrats think.

Re: Site 'grades' Sen. Burr

Burr is up to a B.

Re: Site 'grades' Sen. Burr

Fixed the date problem. Thanks!

Re: Site 'grades' Sen. Burr

Why give this kid the attention?

Much less your name, city and e-mail for his personal database.

I'm not sure which is creepier, that or the suggestion this site was somehow created two weeks in the future.

Created on June 18, the site is hosted by a company that provides Web sites for as little as $5.95 a month.

Even if Richir now pays the bill, it seems fairly obvious that this was actually work product developed while on NCDP payroll, even if they kicked the concept out the door along with it's creator.

Way to be the story Richir. You sure got Burr good with this one.

Re: Site 'grades' Sen. Burr

cdtew - Let me know how I can improve the site. I think Ryan's right that the "I'll let him slide" colloquials on the grades need to go.

dahedgehog - In an effort to receive even more undeserved attention I tried to sign up for clown school but all I had was $5.95 a month for tuition so they kicked me out. Those big floppy shoes hurt!

Re: Site 'grades' Sen. Burr

Same clown who was impersonating Rep. Stam on Twitter. Why give this kid the attention?

Re: Site 'grades' Sen. Burr

Two reasons why this site is a waste of Mr. Richir's $6.00:

1) Every Democrat from BlueNC has voted "He deserves an F", thus forcing every Republican to vote "a Perfect A+". He might has well have just asked a simple question, like "Are you a Republican or a Democrat" and would have gotten a similar result, and

2) "Are you a North Carolina voter? Don't worry; even if not you can still grade Sen. Burr's performance." Its too bad the Democrats have to seek outside help to try and throw mud on a man who is fairly well-respected by real North Carolinians, and who has the strong support of the state outside of Raleigh, Charlotte and Asheville.
