Shuler will endorse Clinton

U.S. Rep. Heath Shuler will back Hillary Clinton.

The Waynesville Democrat earlier pledged to cast his superdelegate vote for the winner of his Congressional District, the 11th.

As expected, Clinton won handily, 55 to 42 percent.

Clarification: A spokesman for Shuler said that he is not "endorsing" Clinton, but rather casting his superdelegate vote for her.
