The N.C. Senate took more than a House bills dozen bills out of the deep freeze and put them back on the agenda Monday night.
More House bills are back up for Senate votes Tuesday. Senate Republicans stockpiled dozens of House bills last week Thursday dramatically removed them from consideration. Senate Rules Chairman Tom Apodaca said last week that he shelved the bills as incentive to get the tax negotiations moving.
He said Monday that he intended to bring them back.
There were no controversial bills in the Monday batch, and most passed without debate.
