Second aide to House Speaker Thom Tillis to resign after affair with lobbyist

House Speaker Thom Tillis says he asked chief of staff Charles Thomas earlier this year if he was having an affair with a lobbyist, but Thomas lied to him about it.

Tillis says that a review of correspondence and other records showed no favoritism from Thomas toward the lobbyist, Jessica B. Hayes of the N.C. Home Builders Association.

Tillis, in a news conference Tuesday afternoon, also said a second staffer has resigned after having an affair with a different lobbyist.

Once again

‎"Career politicians breed lies and corruption. Vote them out or they and their cronies either die in or retire from public office. Option one .....you win. Option two....the lies and corruption and cronyism continues and you lose. Career politicians returning time and time again to office is what is wrong with The United States of America today.

Take a stand, kick the habit and a career politician away from the slop trough. The United States of America needs an intervention and putting career politicians back in office is like pumping another syringe of heroin into the veins of a dying junkie. ""
