A line of thinking repeated countless times by countless political pundits during the buildup to the Supreme Court decision on Obamacare goes something like this: if the court upholds the controversial insurance mandate and other key provisions of the law, Mitt Romney gains both financially from new donors and from increased voter turnout by the Republican base this November.
That prophecy, at least in North Carolina, may be taking form.
More than a thousand donors raised $100,000-plus in the 24 hours since the court announced its decision to uphold most of the law on Wednesday, the campaign said.
Nearly a thousand of those donations came from first-time financial supporters.

$100,000/1,000 = $100 from each donor
These are people who are giving what they can to help make sure Fearless Leader becomes Fearless Leaver in January 2013.
big money donors
June 30, 2012 - 1:27pm — oneamericaI'm confident all of these big money donors are merely in search of good government and do not expect to get a return on investment. Right? It may be true, but I simply can't believe that the majority in this country believes such a thing. Surely money cannot buy the highest office in this beloved country!
Romney will lose the election
June 29, 2012 - 10:51pm — MalleusMaleficarumMitt Romney is crying in his soup. Why? The Supreme Court just denied Romney his core message - that Obamacare is unconstitutional. Romney is now back to square one. Odds already heavily favor Obama's re-election. Mitt Romney will soon be just another also-ran in the annals of American history.
