Rasmussen poll gives McCrory double-digit lead in governor's race

Which Rasmussen poll do you believe: The one from last month showing Republican Pat McCrory with a narrow lead in the governor's race? Or the one this month giving him a 13-point advantage against Democrat Walter Dalton?

Most polls don't show the race swinging so widly from one month to the next. The Republican-leaning Rasmussen poll released Monday gives McCrory with 51 percent compared to 38 percent for Dalton with 10 percent undecided.

Unlike previous polls, Rasmussen didn't release details about the polling sample or a breakdown of the results, so its unclear whether it is representative of the state's electorate. The margin of error is plus-or-minus 4.5 percentage points.

The bigger McCrory margin is similar to an Elon/N&O/Charlotte Observer poll earlier this month. But the Democratic-firm Public Policy Polling shows a consistently tight race at 6 percent.

1 month of solution oriented ads & problems with Dalton & Perdue

Who knows, maybe McCrory's positive, yet problem-solving oriented ads have had an impact on the NC electorate over the past month, particularly given all of the negativity around the presidential election.  And perhaps, people are also beginning to recognize that the corrupt & unsuccessful agenda of Perdue and Easley would just continue under Dalton.  Please, spare us 4 years of Wally.
