In video, Randall says Feds and BP spilled oil on purpose

Congratulations to all those who have participated in the dumbing down of our education system where those who cannot read receive diplomas.  Critical thinking has been replaced by slander, inuendo, rumor, speculation, blind criticism, and baseless accusations, and a half-way intelligent voting public with those who participate in political discussions that treat matters of public policy as if they were playing pickup games of basketball at the local playground.  I have been on both sides of the political fence over the years, but one thing has always driven my opinions: facts.  I'm sick of hearing things like, "I bet", or "I think", or "you just watch and see" coming from those who are supposed to be telling me something of value.  If you are getting your facts from a person who says "I bet", "I think", or "you just watch", shame on you for being so gullible.  Public policy isn't about teams.  It's about solutions that make sense.  If you think your party has all the solutions, you're just plain wrong.

They need to get Cap & Trade passed. After the backlash of HealthScare, they required a big, juicy environmental disaster to appeal to the less discerning of you sheeple to gain your support. Remember, like Rahm said, "Don't let a perfectly good crisis go to waste." Isn't this tactic straight out of Bill Ayers' fascist 101 playbook? I do think it's gone a wee bit farther than the morons anticipated. BP is playing along nicely...just like the banks...just like Detroit. Think people...think for yourselves before it's too late.

I am getting so tired of people blaming Obama for the oil spill.Did he go out and blow up that oil well?Can he go out and fix the leakes in the Gulf.I can't beleive this world is full of so many idiots, always blaming Obama(since he became president) for every problem this world have ,had or is going to have.People come to your senses and stop blaming him for everything,while you all hide behind your racist ways.

Under your view, to pull this off, Obama would be one of the greatest tacticians and administrators of all time and had successfully made the government work as efficiently as it ever has; your unwavering belief in supporting your belief for his extraordinary talents in this regard is commendable; based on your analysis, we probably should have voted for him.

 Only a republican like  Bill Randall (and many more I suspect) would infer that the democrats were in concert with B.P. to purposefully design and implement the 'spill.' That crowd is vote hunting by use of lies and scare tactics. Anyone with one eye and half sense can easily see that Randall's assertion(s) are nothing more than  bald faced lies to promote the agenda of the Bag'rs.

Shame on Randall and anyone silly enough to take him and his ilk seriously.

It wouldn't be the first time that a government in trouble has moved the spotlight, it's been going on for centuries.

I sometimes just wonder, what in the world is going on with The GOP These days.  Just when I thought I'd heard it all, a mouth is opened, and I get blind sided once again.  If this is what America wants in office, along with Sarah Palin, we'd all better start doing a lot of praying.

His theory makes as much if not more sense than the theory that President Bush was responsible for the disaster of New Orleans and Hurricane Katrina.  Bush would have had no agenda, but Obama does Cap & Tax.  Always a conspiracy theory floating .... careful of name calling ... it can come back and bite you.

The News 14 reporter trying to write something sensational took the comment on the potential conspiracy out of context, not unusual for a left leaning organization, and emphasized this aspect of the answer.  It is suspicious that the company would propose techniques that are against long standing safety standards to cut costs and the MMS agency would then sign off on them.  While I don't think there was any planning for the disaster, the actions of both the company and the administration left the door open for this to happen.  Additionally, imposing the Jones Act, to save the unions, and not accepting the help on the Dutch skimmers, and other countries assistance was a total lack of leadership and accentuates the incompetence of the Obama team.  The lack of action to stop the oil from reaching the coast rests solely on the Administrations shoulders. 

Now we know,  just why it is that candidate Randall is a non-factor in the election.

This ancient old country boy is waiting with bated breath for the Neo-Cons and Tea Baggers to explain how Obama holding BP's feet to the fire and escrowing $20-Billion as a starter to the damages fund to be administered by the same professional selected by George "DubYaH"  Bush to handle 9/11 compensation  -- is an absolute threat to the U.S.

Of course, Exxon being allowed to leave the Valdez area after a slip-shod excuse of a cleanup during the administration of the Oil Patch Cronies, aka Bush/Cheney -- is only proof those good ol' Oil Patch boys are better Americans than the guy who peacefully arranged for BP to start paying damages and making up losses from BP's slight mistake.

Actually, I have it on good authority, that it was the White House dog, BO, who caused the BP oil spill -- while digging up a bone he had hidden in Mrs. Obama's garden.

At least they are not blaming either of the Obama girls for digging too deeply in their sand box.

I think that a conspiracy between the current administration and BP would require a level of intelligence neither party has shown in the past. 

Not saying that I necessarily believe this hypothesis, but ...

Tony Hayward sold 1.4 million pounds of BP stock , which was 1/3 of his holdings in the company, just one month before the rig exploded.  He avoided losing 30% of the stock's value, which of course has since plummeted.  (see telegraph DOT co DOT uk) .

And think that oil companies are against cap & trade, which Obama was pushing last night in the guise of finding alternative energy sources?  Nope.  BP, along with 2 other oil companies, supported the proposed Kerry/Lieberman energy bill.

BP also helped to found the US Climate Action Partnership, which was created to lobby to pass cap & trade; i.e., to tax carbon emissions etc.  Big, big money for some people.

It is a completely false narrative to think that Obama & the Dems are against the oil companies.  It's a symbiotic relationship - each will stand to make billions on the backs of U.S. taxpayers.  BP uses more Dem lobbyists than R's, and has in its employ the Podesta Group - co-founded by John Podesta, who now heads the Center for American Progress, the infamous lib think tank.

Yes, BP and the administration also have a way to end the spill when they want to - Oh Brother, what a bizarre comment.

I would put nothing past this regime.  Thank you Mr. Randall for stating what many have been thinking.  Looks like a good opportunity to destroy the oil industry and build a platform for this Cap and Trade nonsense.
