By maintaining collegiality with other members of the Court. By issuing well reasoned and researched opinions in a prompt and timely manner. By limiting extra-judicial activities in order to expeditiously address the important matters before the Court.

What is the biggest challenge facing North Carolina? Your county? Your district?
Twofold: The delay in issuing timely decisions. Secondly, Judges who do not fairly and impartially interpret and apply the law. Judges who substitute their own personal policy preferences instead of following the law as legislated by the elected representatives of the people.
