Early Life and Education
Lassiter graduated from Andrews High School in High Point in 1988. He took classes in business and accounting over the next year at Guilford Technical Community College and Davidson County Community College.
Family
Lassiter is unmarried. He says his work schedule prevents him from having time for a family.
Professional Life
He worked for Lexington State Bank as a data processor for three and half years. Lexington State Bank has now become NewBridge Bank. He left that job to start his own trucking company. He has been driving a truck for 14 years.
Political Life
In 2008, Lassiter was one of five candidates for the Democratic nomination for U.S. senator.
He came in fourth, losing to state Sen. Kay Hagan.
