Synopsis | Don Hobart is a key legal adviser to Gov.-elect Beverly Perdue. A former chief legal counsel to Attorney General Mike Easley, he served as director of governmental and legal affairs for the state Department of Commerce. He has also worked with U.S. Rep. David Price and former Gov. Jim Hunt. He briefly served as chief of staff for Perdue when she was lieutenant governor. In 2008, he was named one of three heads of Perdue's transition team and he is a likely candidate for deputy chief of staff or legal counsel. |
