President Obama is polling the best in North Carolina.
According to a recent survey by the conservative Civitas Institute, 66 percent of likely voters approved of the way Obama is handling his job, 28 percent disapproved and seven percent were not sure.
Gov. Beverly Perdue was much less popular, with 47 percent approving, 42 percent disapproving and 12 percent unsure.
Large numbers of voters were not sure about U.S. Sens. Kay Hagan and Richard Burr. Forty-one percent approved of her, 40 percent of him; while 20 percent disapproved of her and 19 percent disapproved of him.
But another 37 percent were not sure about her and 41 percent were not sure about him.
The live survey of 600 likely voters was conducted between May 18-21 by Tel Opinion Research of Alexandria, Va. The margin of error is plus or minus four percentage points.
