Perdue turns down another debate

Lt. Gov. Beverly Perdue has turned down another debate in the race for governor.

News 14 Carolina reports that State Treasurer Richard Moore accepted the invitation immediately. But without Perdue, the debate won't happen.

Perdue and Moore are both Democrats.

Lt. Governor Perdue’s campaign informed News 14 Carolina on Thursday they were not making scheduling commitments that far in advance. The News 14 Carolina/Peace College debate would have been available to all Time Warner Cable subscribers in North Carolina and subscribers of other members of the North Carolina Cable Telecommunications Association.

Perdue previously turned down WRAL's invitation for a debate. All candidates are scheduled to participate tonight in a live televised forum on UNC-TV. The forum is to be narrowly focused on the economy.

Re: Perdue turns down another debate

So is this foolish debutante operating under the assumption that the voters of the Triangle are irrelevant?? Her snooty gimmicks beg the question of what we are to make of this charade...let alone her obscure ethics and morals thus far in her holier-than-thou art campaign. This type of contempt will be reciprocated in kind in just a few months...especially when investigative journalists and the media put together the pieces and evidence which demonstrates her illegitimate - yet well covered and hidden - fundraising activities in connection to Senator Basnight, and quite possibly former House Speaker Jim Black.
