Perdue not sheepish at event

Gov. Beverly Perdue's speech was interupted this week, not by boos but by baaas.

The governor was outlining her energy ideas at a SAS solar farm in Cary on Thursday, when some sheep — kept on hand as grass trimmers — bleated.

That prompted Perdue to turn to John Sall, SAS' co-founder, and quip: "If we only had that ram, John, we could mate and have fun."

Re: Perdue not sheepish at event

But having sheep bleating in the background was VERY appropriate and should be a part of any democrat speech anywhere...

Re: Perdue not sheepish at event

Tacky.

Perdue's inappropriate sheep comment

She is certainly not good off of script... What is she implying with her comment? No, it can't be what I am thinking.

What if a male government leader, perhaps Cary Allred had said that to a woman during a speech? They would have been crucified!

"If we only had that ram, John, we could mate and have fun."

What a tacky comment for a governor to make.
