Perdue endorses Obama

Beverly Perdue has endorsed Barack Obama.

The Democratic gubernatorial candidate and two-term lieutenant governor had previously remained neutral in the presidential primary between Obama and Hillary Clinton, Jim Morrill reports.

But campaign adviser Mac McCorkle said that she decided to endorse now that North Carolina has become a battleground state.

"She thinks both candidates are exceptionally well-qualified, but will be voting for Obama," he said.

Perdue is expected to do well with female voters casting their ballots for Hillary Clinton. But black voters, who have turned out overwhelmingly for Obama in other Southern states, are also expected to be a force in the primary.

Perdue's rival, Richard Moore, endorsed Obama last month.

Re: Perdue endorses Obama

For the love of Allah, Barack Obama (one r in his first name, by the way) did not use the Koran during his swearing-in ceremony; I am assuming that is "the Koran deal." That was Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison, the first Muslim to be elected to Congress. Barack Obama chose as an adult to be a Christian, and both of his parents were atheists (though his father was indeed raised Muslim in Kenya). His middle name is Hussein for the same reason I have no middle name at all: we were both named for our fathers. If all of this really matters to anyone (it certainly doesn't to me, as I am not religious), then do some research; I tire of hearing the same lies and rumors all the time. I refuse to believe that someone with enough intelligence to support my Tar Heels (going by your screenname) can believe such tripe.

Re: Perdue endorses Obama

Of all the presidential elections I have had the privilege to observe, I have never seen a more dangerous candidate than Barrack Obama. You people really need to do your homework and learn who he is and where he came from.

His mother was an atheist, but that really doesn't mean much to anyone today. His father divorced his mother when Barrack was two. She remarried when he was six. Whether his father was a terrorist or not will come out more if he actually wins the Democratic nomination. It amazes me how he won the state house elections in Illinois.

This deal with him and koran/quran... Do you really know what the koran is? First of all, it was not written by Mohammad. It was put together by a group of his followers 30 years after his death using a lot of his quotes. Seventy percent of the koran are misinterpeted scriptures from the Bible. He gets Miriam and Mary confused claiming Miriam to be the mother of Jesus. Miriam and Mary lived 1500 years apart in the Bible. The koran has no timeline, no prophecies, no storyline.....nothing.. absolutely nothing of substance. It just a lot of misquoted scriptures.

In the Bible, Jesus says I will love you no matter what you do. In the koran, Allayh says I will love you if you will love me. You hate me and I will hate you.

In the Bible you can trace Jesus' genalogy all the way back to Adam. In the koran, Mohammad genaology is traced back to the moon gods.

Jeuse said to take my Word to all the world and TEACH. Allayh said to take his word to all the world and FIGHT. Big difference!

and lastly.. Jesus is alive! Mohammad is dead.

Do we really want a man who honors the koran over the Bible as our President? Karl Marx said Marxism and liberialism are the same. Democrats.. wake up and smell the roses! We all need to forget party lines and lies and do whats right for our country. We are approaching one of the most pivotal points in our nation's history.

I just don't think we need to be remotely interesed in a candidate with the baggage Barrack Obama has.

These campaigns are crazy if they think that non-primary voters brought out on May 6th by the presidential campaign are going to remember whom they endorsed. Heck, they'll be lucky if they know who the gubernatorial candidates are at all.
