Palin heading to Raleigh Saturday

Sarah Palin will be in Raleigh Saturday night.

The Republican vice presidential candidate will hold an hourlong event in the capital city, according to Sen. Richard Burr. It will likely be the last event of the presidential campaign in North Carolina.

Details on the event are not yet available.

Re: Palin heading to Raleigh Saturday

Obama did not vote "present," he voted "President."

Washington loves a politician who will not take a stand until all the polls have been shaken, not stirred.

It's hard for someone to criticize your past if you don't have one. Only the Shadow knows for sure.

Re: Palin heading to Raleigh Saturday

Funny all these comments here about Palin being unqualified. Obama is the epitome of unqualified! He has 0 accomplishments as a senator, and voted "Present" 130 times out of 569 issues:

"It's about time a real experienced political representative graced our soil. Anybody with any common sense and real investigative prowess would uncover obama's background in politics(or lack there of) and see him for what he is.................."

There you go again,
always talking about the other guy and ducking the issues. How's that economy doing Sparky? You guy has been in office 26 years. Have to hand it to him, McCain said "The issue of economics is not something I’ve understood as well as I should,” McCain said in December 2007. “I’ve got Greenspan’s book.”

And here's what he told the Wall Street Journal's Stephen Moore in 2005: “I’m going to be honest: I know a lot less about economics than I do about military and foreign policy issues. I still need to be educated.”. Self knowledge, that's a strength.

How's your health care Sparky? Here’s what McCain has to say about the wonders of market-based health reform: http://krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/09/19/mccain-on-banking-and-health/
"Opening up the health insurance market to more vigorous nationwide competition, as we have done over the last decade in banking, would provide more choices of innovative products less burdened by the worst excesses of state-based regulation." Banking, now there's a healty industry.
Veterans? McCain wants to boot out of the V.A. all but the most severely wounded. "Here's your $2,500 voucher. Good luck in the free marketplace for health insurance. You can look in another state if you want..." Meanwhile, McCain receives $58,000 per year 100% disability (=tax free) for his POW status. He also draws a Navy pension and gets the best health care in the world at taxpayer expense in the Senate. He’s also uses public money for his campaign unlike Obama. Jessica Lynch, by comparison, got 80% disability and pays taxes on it.
McCain draws social security check every month, even though he attacks it. He is the ultimate entitlement candidate.

You call Palin,"... a real experienced political representative?! " My God, you are one sophisticated hog caller!

Go there. Get your picture taken with her. Be part of the Bozo loser crowd.

Palin's problem is she doesn't realize when the game is over and the crowds have gone home. The few diehard fans who populate her appearances a little more than autograph hounds at this point. Even McCain campaign insiders have labeled her as "a rogue" and unpredictable.

"It's as if she's running her own campaign, barely mentioning the issues OR McCain. She will accept no advice from any of the campaign advisors and simply does her own thing. It's certain that she has shown everyone how she operates and her chances for any sort of political career outside of local Alaskan government are very small. Even the republican legislative leaders have distanced themselves from her. Four Republicans close to Palin said she has decided increasingly to disregard the advice of the former Bush aides tasked to handle her, creating occasionally tense situations as she travels the country with them. Those Palin supporters, inside the campaign and out, said Palin blames her handlers for a botched rollout and a tarnished public image -- even as others in McCain's camp blame the pick of the relatively inexperienced Alaska governor, and her public performance, for McCain's decline."

Ultra-Conservative Palin Unqualified to Lead this Country

The population of Wake County is more than 786,522 versus 670,053 in all of Alaska. Just some perspective. Palin's experience is hardly worthy of being a heartbeat away from the highest office in the land. Plus, she abuses power, is secretive, can't answer questions, won't give a press conference, has horrible taste in clothes (just checking if you're reading - I don't actually care, but she really does have hideous taste in clothes - I'd almost rather she wear her Diva RNC clothes), rigs contracts for her favorite mega-corp, seeks and keeps pork barrel money for the bridge to nowhere, sold the governors jet but forget to tell us that she commandeers the state police's rescue plan for her own travel, etc... McCain/Palin. Not Ready to Lead, But Ready to Continue Another 4 Years of Disastrous Bush/Cheney Failed Policies. This message provided for free by Real Americans Think. I approved this message.

Re: Palin heading to Raleigh Saturday

Oh right--because being the mayor of a small town where rape victims got billed for their sexual assault exam kits and two years as the governor of a state with fewer people in it than there are bears really means that you're SO experienced.

Also, you might want to check your dictionary for the definitions of "socialism" and "communism"...or has your pastor told you that it's a sin to educate yourself?

Re: Palin heading to Raleigh Saturday

It's about time a real experienced political representative graced our soil. Anybody with any common sense and real investigative prowess would uncover obama's background in politics(or lack there of) and see him for what he is....................well you get the point. No achievments legislatively, no military background, a whopping 143 days of office etc. If he does buy this election as everyone knows he is( if you don't you are blind) socialism, communism, taking the money of hard working people that are productive members of society and giving it to those who decided that everybody owes me something because I was too lazy to get a college degree or practice family planning. If you don't like this country.......there are plenty of exits!

Re: Palin heading to Raleigh Saturday

B. Hussein Obama Doesn't really know where Raleigh is either But ne thng he does know He ain't won N.C. yet. If he had he wouldn't be spending so much time and money on advertizing and the N&O would not be spending so much money and ink on demigrating McCain and Palin. You do know that the polls are lies they pick a speciffic place and time to conduct to produce the result they want and publish it as representing the overall electorate. they did that in Florida in the last presidential election and Zogby ate it. The Dems did their usual thing and blamed hanging chads, poor poll controls etc., etc., ou know the drill; get used to it it was practice for this year in N.C. Democrats in action!!

Palin is the darling of the McCain campaign

McCain campaign officials are reported as describing Palin as follows: 2 days ago, she was "off-message;" 2 days ago, she was a "rogue;" yesterday, she was a "diva;" today she is a "wack-job." Perhaps we can just sit back, relax, and let the McCain campaign make the best argument for voting against the galactally unqualified McCain/Palin ticket. When the 72 year old cancer survivor McCain keels over, if elected, then we'll have President Palin. Abuse of power. Lying. Secretive government. Back room deals for oil companies. Sounds just like Cheney. McCain/Palin - another 4 years of Bush/Cheney.

Re: Palin heading to Raleigh Saturday

Re: Palin heading to Raleigh Saturday

Re: Palin heading to Raleigh Saturday

Re: Palin heading to Raleigh Saturday

0bama spent 5.3 million on the backdrop for his acceptance speech. Use once, throw away.

Convention expenses paid by the committee included $14.1 million for construction costs, including the stage and lighting, at the Pepsi Center and $5.3 million at Invesco Field.

DNC host committee raised $61M.

Who knew that fake styrofoam columns were so expensive?

Re: Palin heading to Raleigh Saturday

Excellent.

Will it be a runway fashion show?

I've been wondering about what the trends will be for this fall. Seeing as how I don't have a budget of $150,000 to buy clothing, I can only dream... But that's something, right?
