Barack Obama namechecked his supporters.
In a half-hour speech at the Jefferson-Jackson Dinner, the Democratic presidential candidate thanked three superdelegates who have endorsed him, U.S. Reps. David Price, Mel Watt and G.K. Butterfield.
He also thanked party chairman Jerry Meek.
And, in a classy move, he thanked Gov. Mike Easley, who has endorsed his primary rival, Hillary Clinton, congratulating him on his eight-year tenure.
Finally, he thanked John and Elizabeth Edwards for their work on poverty, and jokingly noting that he recently played basketball with the UNC-Chapel Hill basketball team.

Pretty Snarky thank you!

This man wants to thank Michelle Obama!

What a snarky "thank you Michelle" from christines! Is he a racist or just blinded by Hillary's Ba**s!
If you read the interviews with Michelle's former suitemate, about how blacks were treated at Princeton by white snooty classmates--much more systematically segregated/shunned than at UNC was 20 years earlier!, you might have deeper understanding/appreciation of what her experiences have been. The Obamas have gotten a crash course in how words get twisted on the political trail and how clips of words get taken out of context--the Clintons have done politicalSpeak since l972 and are much more self-censoring and controlled (at least she is)!
