Democrat Barack Obama will return to the Charlotte area Monday, the eve of the election.
Obama campaign officials said they couldn't specify exactly where he would be or when, Jim Morrill reports.
His visit will punctuate the status of North Carolina as a key battleground that's seen unprecedented interest from the presidential campaigns. Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin visits the Raleigh tomorrow.
Obama has heavily outspent John McCain in the state, The Wisconsin Advertising Project, which tracks TV advertising, said today Obama and supporters spent $1 million on TV ads in the state between Oct. 21 and 28 compared to $537,000 by McCain and the Republican Party.

Obama will be a better Commander in Chief than McCain
October 31, 2008 - 10:16pm — Real_Americans_ThinkObama will be absolutely excellent as commander in chief. He is intelligent, educated, calm, cool, collected, deliberative, thoughtful, well-advised. In contrast, McCain is an ill-tempered irratic hothead. I'd really rather have Obama in a time of crisis. Just look at how McCain behaved days before the second debate - "suspending" his campaign, threatening to skip out on the debate, and in reality accomplishing nothing. That was not leadership. Not sure what it was. We can't afford that kind of behavior from the President. McCain and Palin have alluded to war with Iran and Russia - and they have belittled diplomacy and efforts to obtain stability, and they have not been clear as to whether war would be pre-emptive or a last resort. Can we afford to fight 4 wars simultaneously? Also, McCain made a bad decision in choosing Palin - she is just not ready to be VP, and she is certainly not ready to take over as President if the 72 year cancer survivor McCain does not live out a 4 year term as the oldest elected President ever. We can't afford to jeopardize our national security with McCain/Palin. Not to mention that McCain's recycling of the Bush economic policies that McCain opposed in 2001 and 2003, will further hurt our economy, and thereby further jeopardize our economic power in the world and our role as a superpower.
Obama-Thon
October 31, 2008 - 6:31pm — mike27513"During these last few days, I call on all Americans to keep thinking happy thoughts," Obama said. "Otherwise our dream of turning this country around will vanish, as I vanish, leaving nothing behind but a wisp of my memory and a few faint strains of my voice, forever whispering, 'Yes, we can…. Yes, we can…. Yes, we can.'"

Thoughtcrime-jumping from one negative situation to make yet another negative...all people have positive and negatives, Obama's happen to fit more of the positive well thought out plan for real change.

October 31, 2008 - 12:11pm — ThoughtCrimesBill Clinton, a pillar or morality, urged voters to consider Four Points in choosing a President:
* Philosophy - Obama's organizing philosophy is that America works from the the TOP down. Send all your money to washington, where fair, honest politicians will dole it out. Fail to note that Obama and Democrat majorities in house and senate voted for the $700,000,000,000 bailout of Wall street?
* Policy - Obama's policy ideas on the economy, education, health care, and energy are right for America now. Nothing new, Didn't work in germany in the 30s, the USSR, Communist China, N Korea, Cambodia, N Vietnam, etc.
* Decision - Obama has demonstrated superior decision-making skills, e.g., his choice of a big government liberal Biden for VP, his choice of friends, Bill Ayers, Tony Rezko. Choice of pastor, J. Wright.
* Execution - In organizing and conducting an historically successful election campaign, Obama has demonstrated key talents as an CRIMINAL. Links to ACORN indicate that O is doing everything possible to dis-enfranchise real voters.
