Obama's service as a community organizer was much more heroic and dangerous than McCain's military picnic! McCain was lounging around in some Hilton Hotel while the real fighting was going on!

Do you have any idea the strain of community organizing? Do you even know what it is? Does anyone know what it is?

But I would guess community organizing would involve a whole bunch of coffee drinking. Was Starbucks in business during Obama's community organizing days? How could you ever sit through all those organizing meetings without good coffee?

Sen. Obama was in Fayetteville...he spoke at FTCC. Sen. Clinton spoke in Fayetteville twice, once at Methodist (as you said), and once at Terry Sanford High School.

Sen. Obama has had a Medal of Honor recipient speak in Fayetteville twice.

The mental healthcare disaster, failing schools, crumbling newly built roads, and all of the corruption coming from state government and the State Ethicss Commission. Heck they have been rebuilding major parts of I-540 right after redoing parts of I-40 west of here and around Goldsboro. Another mental hospital is losing funding and a judge has told Secretary benton he is WRONG, the new hospital is not ready and please quit applying bills from the new hospital to the old account at Dix. That is called fraud by the way.

This crap coming from the 5 or 6 Democrats running state government will not end until we vote out the people suporting them. VOTE REPUBLICAN IN NC!

I only hope that the Republicans will exercise the same restraint that have the Democrats when discussing Sarah Palin. The Democrats have shown their high standards in their fair and balanced treatment of Sarah Palin. Hopefully the Republicans will respond in kind.

What incredible nonsense is being bandied about here. It would be beneath serious comment, except for the fact that it illustrates a larger theme. The McCain campaign has decided that they can't succeed in debating the economy, and they can't win by selling their candidate on his merits. They admit it, in almost those exact words, in comments to reporters nationally now.

Instead, look for the next 30 days to bring a non-stop cascade of increasingly viscious, remarkably vacuous character attacks on Obama. The Karl Rove scorched-earth strategy of completely poisoning campaign debate will be in full screaming cry.

Haven't we had enough? We see the results of this poison in Washington, and on Main Streets around the nation. It's time for real change, and only Obama is bringing it.

The last poster made some statements that prove my point.

1. Is there parking at the Obama Headquarters? YES. Unlike the Cary small business (Shuttles Needles Hooks) the Obama Headquarters has an entire parking lot! Plus, there are two parking lots across the street (BB & T and strip mall lot).

2. Why park directly in front of a small business? You guys may be a temporary neighbor BUT you are a bad neighbor.

3. You would prefer older citizens to park far away and walk? But the Obama supporters who use the spots right in front of her shop are much younger and would have less trouble walking. Nice of you guys at Obama Headquarters!

4. Take the complaint to the city? Why cannot people work things about instead of relying on government? What exact change does Obama want?

let's see:

1. is there parking in front of the headquarters? if not, and the parking is only on the side of street as the store, she's gonna lose parking, not only from ppl going the the dem's hq, but also to ANYONE ELSE who doesn't have parking, or just b/c ppl see an open spot. i bet good money she's lost spots to just that - ppl seeing an open spot. it's just happening more often now that the dem's hq is very active across the street from her store.

2. the older customers may not like to walk to her store, but you can't complain if you don't take a chance. i mean, just b/c all spots are taken, doesn't mean that the store is crowded.

3. if the lady wants "her" spots back (the supporter was right, she DOES NOT own the road) she can either wait til the election is over, or take her complaint to the city.

my complaint is that for all of the postering that the pol's have been saying about helping the military, the ONLY person who's come to fayetteville, was hillary. she was at methodist univ this past spring. now she's a methodist so to have her rally there was a bit of a no brainer. but at least she was here!

I wish that Obama had come to Cary and "crashed" the good work supporters are doing at the Obama Headquarters on Chatham Street in Cary.

Since Obama frequently claims that he is very concerned about the middle class and small businesse. As such, I would expect that Obama would be very disappointed that his supporters park their vehicles *all day long" in front of a Cary small business (Shuttles, Needles and Hooks) and then meet all day across the street from Shuttles at the Obama Headquarters.

Shuttles has been in business for 19 years and is owned by an older woman who is trying to care for her husband with cancer and supplement their social security with the tiny amount she earns by running Shuttles.

The owner of Shuttles loses business whenever Obama supporters park in front of her shop.
1. Many Shuttles customers are older citizens and drive by when they see no parking places in front of the shop.

2, They do not stop either because they physically cannot get into the shop OR because the older customers are concerned that they shop will be too crowded for them to get assistance with their questions.

The Shuttles owner tried to explain the problem to an Obama supporter who was parking in front of her shop and she would lose business. The Obama supporter told the owner "You don't own the road."

Customers of Shuttles have even gone over to the Obama headquarters to explain the problem. Obama supporters do not care if they are hurting a small business. And that's a reflection of Barack Obama himself.

Shame on Obama and his supporters in Cary. What "change" do they want? The "change" to put a older Cary small business woman out of business?
