The Obama campaign has begun airing a new TV ad in North Carolina and seven other battleground states accusing Mitt Romney of raising Medicaid fees as governor of Massachusetts and promising to so if elected president.
"It's one of the hardest decisions a family can make," says the ad. "Realizing a nursing home is the only choice. For may middle class families, Medicaid is the only way to afford the care. But as a governor, Mitt Romney raised nursing home fees eight times. And as President, his budget cuts Medicaid by one-third. And burdens families with the cost of nursing home care. We have a president that won't let that happen.''
UPDATE: Robert Reid, Romney spokesman: “The reality is that Medicaid is a broken system today that too often fails to provide meaningful access to care or deliver intended outcomes. By giving states greater flexibility and the incentive to provide coverage more efficiently, Governor Romney will ensure that low-income Americans receive the care they need while also bringing federal spending back under control.”

OBAMA CUTS MEDICAID AND THROWS ELDERLY ON THE STREET IN NC
October 10, 2012 - 7:44am — mrpoonAs I write this the Obama admin and justice department are throwing the elderly who receive medicaid out of assisted living homes in North Carolina and reducing the reimbursement to home health care agencies that provide living services and nursing care to the medicaid elderly in their own homes. Those that have been living in assisted living homes for years must now be evaluated by a team to determine if they can live own their own in apartments which will cost the taxpayer more and deny proper services and 24 hr around the clock care and supervision.Obamacare is coming to you also and a team of beaurecrats will be evaluating you also.Time to vote this bunch out.
