No cameras, please

Bill Clinton is coming to Raleigh, but you won't see much of him.

The former president will appear any minute now at a fundraiser for his wife's campaign at the Brier Creek Country Club in way North Raleigh.

It's $1,000 to get in at a minimum—and $2,300 for the deluxe version—and the campaign staff have done their best to keep the media out. (The theory is that people will be less likely to pay for something they can see on TV that night.)

So far, your Dome blogger and two TV camera people have been pushed from the front door back to 25 feet down the driveway, and now to the end of the driveway.

That's just outside of shouting distance — meaning no questions, in all likelihood. And the camera crews are going to get a moving SUV and a blur of gray hair, at best.

Oh, and it's about 34 degrees out.
