New poll shows McCrory's lead shrinking

Republican Pat McCrory holds a five-point lead over Democrat Walter Dalton, according to a new poll.

McCrory, the former Charlotte mayor, leads Dalton, the lieutenant governor, by a 46-41 percent margin, according to the Rasmussen Reports poll, a Republican-leaning survey.

The last Rasmussen poll, taken June 25th, found McCrory leading Dalton by a 49-35 percent margin.

The poll found that McCrory has the support of 76 percent of Republicans, while Dalton has the backing 72 percent of Democrats. McCrory has a 30-point lead among independents. McCrory has an eight point lead among male voters, but only a three point lead among female voters. McCrory has the support of 58 percent of white voters, but Dalton has the backing of 78 percent of black voters.

The survey of 500 likely North Carolina voters was conducted August 1 and had a margin of error of plus or minus 4.5 percent.

But what choice do we have?

It is either McCrory or a continuation of the Easley-Perdue regimes.  I really do think that many people want to move away from the politics of Easley & Perdue and do not see Bev's Lieutenant as real change.  Maybe a change from the past 12 years might be a good thing.

Myers Park Pat spent two

Myers Park Pat spent two years campaigning around the state to help elect the GOP House majority. He helped bring us the Tillis-Laroque culture of corruption where staffers are paid $150K to sleep with married lobbysits and GOP legislative leadership steal millions in taxpayer dollars to buy their girlfriend fabergege eggs.

You would wonder about his judgement but then again he works for a some of the states most powerful lobbyists at Moore Van Allen who profit from their relationships with the Tillis-Laroque crowd.

Myers Park Pat - Does North Carolina really want a lobbyist from Charlotte as it's Governor?

Release your taxes, Pat

You can't expect anyone to vote for you unless you tell voters what you actually do for a living and who you are doing it for. How stupid do you think people are? We have a right to know.
