Romney's a Loser
June 13, 2012 - 6:48am — MalleusMaleficarumRomney has no issues. Romney can't blame Obama for the increase in national debt for more reasons than one. The Bush Depression caused the debt, and Bush himself backed the bail-outs - all of them. The Bush Blow-Out was the worst economic disaster since the Hoover Blow-Out in 1929 that led to the Great Depression. Romney has about as much chance as Alf Landon did. In 1936, Landon ran against FDR as a "moderate Republican." Political pundits predicted the election would be close - but Landon only carried 2 states and received less than 40% of the vote. Romney's a sure loser.
So obama's assertion is that
June 12, 2012 - 2:37pm — RootBoySlim66So obama's assertion is that we should overlook the $5T of debt he's wracked up, his complete failure to pass a budget, and his punting of his own debt commission's recommendations - because Romney would be just as bad? That's not a very strong argument for a second term.
Gary Johnson
June 12, 2012 - 10:34am — PackMan97This sounds like a great reason to vote for neither Obama nor Romney. Both are really bad with debt.
Thankfully, there is a candidate who is a two term Governor, Gary Johnson. He balanced New Mexico's budget all four years. Improved the rainy day fund from $28 million to $222 million. During his 8 years in office, New Mexico created more jobs per capita than any other state in the nation. How did he do this? He did it by not raising a single tax and by not cutting a single government worker.
