Networks call N.C. for Obama

That was quick.

ABC News and CNN called North Carolina for Barack Obama as soon as the polls closed. NBC News, CBS News, Fox News, the New York Times, and the Associated Press as well.

Now the question is who gets the bulk of the state's votes and what Obama's margin will be.

If the networks were able to call it based on exit polls before any votes were actually counted, though, it will likely be a pretty substantial margin.

Despite the call, there were still hundreds of voters waiting in line to cast ballots around the Triangle, including a report of 400 at one precinct alone.
