National debt debate comes to North Carolina

A couple of former governors, a mayor and business executives will be on hand Tuesday when The Campaign to Fix the Debt comes to Raleigh.

Erskine Bowles and former U.S. Sen. Alan Simpson started the national, bipartisan campaign to bring public pressure to lower the national debt.

Former governors Jim Hunt and Jim Holshouser, Durham Mayor Bill Bell, former GlaxoSmithKline CEO Bob Ingram, and Clear Defense CEO Tonya Cockman will be at the campaign's North Carolina launch.

SLASH the WAR BUDGET to REDUCE DEBT, but...

...That's the one thing politicians, Democrat or Republican,  never think, say or, of course,...do.

Our war budget takes over 50% of every federal income tax dollar collected, right off the top.

Google: "Where Your Federal Tax Money Really Goes":

Some of it's for bombs and bullets, but there's a lot for boats and bombers, health costs, pensions, payrolls, war profiteering industries, spies and spyware...it's a VAST ENTERPRISE.

And, of course, that's why 'THEY' say it CAN'T be done: Too big to cut.

I don't know what these gentlemen will say. But, I know one thing they won't say...

CUT THE DEFENSE BUDGET 50%
