The former Republican vice presidential candidate will be the honored guest at a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. April 28 at the Westin Charlotte.

Re: Myrick hosts Kemp
Rep. Sue Myrick, in the view of some Charlotte-area Democrats, does a great imitation of the "Peanuts" cartoon character Lucy, especially the way Lucy would pull the football back at the last minute when Charlie Brown would go running up to kick it.
So former quarterback Jack Kemp, who played for Tim Russert's Buffalo Bills and knows a thing or two about place-kicking, should be prepared to call some audibles at the political scrimmage line if it should become necessary at the Republican luncheon event in Charlotte April 28.
