Miller Endorsement Watch, Part Two

U.S. Rep. Brad Miller says he needs a few days to think.

He told Media General's Washington bureau that he sees his Congressional district as representative of North Carolina as a whole.

In interview, he seemed to suggest that his odds of ultimately backing Obama are higher than they were before Tuesday, given that Obama stretched his delegate lead last night.

"I'm going to let it settle out for a couple of days, look closely at the results in North Carolina and my district, see where the candidates are, and then make a decision on whether I should indicate my support," he said.

Oddly, Miller also said that he could envision voting for Hillary Clinton if she whittles Barack Obama's delegate lead to under 100 and voters in his district showed a preference for her in Tuesday's elections.

Except they didn't. Miller's staff has said he's very busy today with a foreclosure bill, so he may not have had time to "look closely" at the results, but 63 percent of voters in his district went for Obama.
