Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory raised $1,174,557.82 through April 19.

McCrory, a Republican candidate for governor, raised $1,112,092 in contributions, according to finance reports posted Tuesday. He received $62,225 from PACs. Those figures added to the $417,000 from his mayoral campaign to give him his total.

Major donors include developer Howard "Smokey" Bissell of Charlotte, Arthur Clayton, owner of Lay-Z Boy Furniture Galleries and Piedmont Natural Gas PAC.

McCrory's expenses included $125,000 with Capitol Hill Advertising of Zebulon and $741,242 with Greener and Hook of Arlington, Va., for television ad production.

That left him with $267,698 on hand.
