Gov. Pat McCrory has appointed is Military Affairs Commission to provide advise to him on programs and legislation effecting North Carolina's military installations.
They are Bob Dickerson of Onslow County, a retired commanding Marine Corps general; Dan K. McNeil of Cumberland County, a retired four-star Army General; W.A. ""Bill'' Lehmann of Pasquotank, a retired Coast Guard and commercial airline pilot, John Matthews of Wake County, an energy infrastructure analyst, arms trade analyst, and special duty intelligence officer who is now a vice president for Baker Roof Company.
Also appointed was Joy Thrash of Cumberland County, who is executive director of the North Carolina Defense Association, Josh Glover of New Hanover County, who served as special operations and infantry officer and now helps community banks and credit unions with their cloud-based operating systems; Cornelius "Cornell" Wilson of Mecklenburg.

Also Mabry "Bud" Martin of Forsyth County, a retired brigadier general in the Army National Guard; Paul Dordal of Cumberland County, a retired brigadier general of the Air Force who now serves as a military defense consultant; and Jeremiah Daniels of Wayne County, who is vice president of operations for Daniels & Daniels Construction Co.
