Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick will headline a N.C. Democratic Party event later this month.
Patrick will speak at the annual Sanford-Hunt-Fry Dinner on Jan. 28 in Greensboro. Gov. Bev Perdue, former Gov. Jim Hunt and N.C. Supreme Court Chief Justice Henry Frye are expected to attend.
The fundraising event will officially kickoff the party's campaign season. Sponsorship costs between $100 and $1,000 with tickets at $40.
One thing to watch: What does Patrick have to say about his predecessor and Republican White House hopeful Mitt Romney?
