Secretary of State Elaine Marshall raised $236,235 in her successful bid for re-election.
Marshall, a Democrat, reported raising $11,500 from Oct. 19 to the end of the year, according to campaign finance disclosures.
Major contributors for the quarter included Raleigh lawyer J.A. Penry, Hickory lawyerRebecca Inglefield, and Greensborolawyer Richard D. Hall.
Marshall spent $278,000 in her campaign, leaving her $4,341 in her campaign account.
