For those spreading the claim that U.S. Rep. Larry Kissell is a bad fundraiser, the first-term congressman is doing his best to prove you right.
Kissell, a Biscoe Democrat, found his way to the worst side of a list by Roll Call of the best and worst campaign fundraisers for the second quarter. Kissell's campaign collected $104,000, Roll Call reports.
"And while that’s better than the $72,000 he raised in the first quarter, it won’t do anything to make his battleground district look any less of target in a Republican-friendly year," the report states. "Kissell had less than $300,000 in the bank at the end of June. Former sports broadcaster Harold Johnson raised $171,000 for the quarter and had $82,000 on hand at the end of a quarter that saw him fight his way through a primary runoff that didn’t take place until late June."

Wonder why?
July 20, 2010 - 6:55am — bellaparolaI'm not in his district, but I sent him money for his last two campaigns. Never again, as he has proven himself more Republican than Democrat with his contrary votes. I'm happy to let a weak Republican replace him so we can start over with a better candidate in two years. In the meantime, my money is going to candidates who vote the way he should have.
