For all of those who care about Ayn Rand, political philosophy, political economy and the future of capitalism, this event's for you.

On Wednesday night, a debate will be held at NC State University's Nelson Hall, room 3400 at 6:30 pm on “Capitalism vs. The Mixed Economy: Which System is Better.''

The debate will feature Yaron Brook, the executive director of the Ayn Rand Institute and co-author of the book, “Free Market Revolution: How Ayn Rand's Ideas Can End big Government.”

He will be debating Karl. W. Smith, a member of NCSU's school of government and an economist, who writes and consults on such issues as tax reform, structural deficit reduction and long-run public spending trends.

Moderating the debate will be Andrew Taylor, a political science professor at NCSU.
