And, finally, U.S. Sen. Kay Hagan made recommendations for U.S. Marshall in the Eastern and Middle Districts:
U.S. Marshal Eastern District:
- Richard Holden, former commander of the N.C. Highway Patrol
- Scott Parker, commander of Nash County Sheriff’s Office of Narcotics
- Bronnie Quinn, private investigator specializing in civil cases for litigation at the law firm of Riddle & Brantley in Goldsboro
U.S. Marshal Middle District:
- W.R. Stafford, who retired in 2004 as assistant chief of the Greensboro Police Department
- Al Stewart, who as contingent commander of the U.S. Department of State in Beirut, Lebanon, helped establish a new police mission for the Lebanese Police in 2007 and 2008
- Becky Wallace, who served as U.S. Marshal for the Middle District from 1994 to 2003, and continues to serve as a reserve deputy sheriff in Montgomery County.

Re: Holden among names for U.S. Marshal
Well I would have hoped that the senator and her staff could have found more back ground info on her recommendations for these post.(eastern)
1st recommendation: Col. Holden has been a a long time trooper and head of highway patrol which enforces motor vehicle law, speeding tickets, investigates wrecks and so forth.
2nd: Scott Parker has been long time commander of the Drug Task Force Unit over the eastern region and works daily with all law enforcement agencies along with the sitting U.S. Marshal already knowing what needs to be done.
3rd: sorry but a private investigator, please. I'm sorry that they did not give more back ground on this one to be fair.
Now I think the staff should check with the NCSHP's I-A division about a wreck the Col was in with a "female" passenger that was never listed on the report at(who got promoted for keeping this secret??) the commander's direction and why the Governor gave Mr Holden a high paying contract job when he suddenly retired after this story broke at N.C. office of Governors Highway Safety Programs which they say he never did any daily job other than cash his check what so ever??????
