Hagan visited Washington on Tuesday

Kay Hagan was in Washington again this week.

The Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate went to the nation's capital on Tuesday to attend the weekly meeting of the Democratic Senate Caucus.

The meetings are closed to the press, and Hagan spokeswoman Colleen Flanagan said she does not know what Hagan spoke about to the group.

The timing is auspicious, however, coming the day before the D.C.-based Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee reserved as much as $6 million in TV air time for ads in the Senate race here.

The trip was much lower profile than Hagan's previous visit to D.C. In mid-June, Hagan met with reporters from Beltway publications and talked with the chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, then held a fundraiser.

Re: Hagan visited Washington on Tuesday

Hagan was on the NC Senate floor Thursday last week. You would think someone with the username "Senate" would bother to know that.

Re: Hagan visited Washington on Tuesday

Yes, it's difficult to balance being a current office-holder with running a campaign. Your complaint, "Senate", is a tired and lame one to make. Republicans made the same complaint against Kerry in 2004; Democrats made it against Bush, as well. It's a pointless complaint. It's obvious that some of Hagan's time is taken up with running for US Senate.

Yet, Hagan has attended as much of the NC Senate session as possible. Let's put it this way: Hagan's been doing her current job a lot better than Dole is doing her current job.

When was the last time she bothered to show up for her current job?
