H. Clinton hits Indiana

Hillary Clinton will spend more time in Indiana this week.

The Democratic presidential candidate will be in North Carolina on Thursday, touring Jacksonville, Fayetteville and Asheville with retired Gen. Hugh Shelton, Barb Barrett reports.

That matches her campaign tactic of hitting rural areas and military bases.

But with Pennsylvania's primary being held today, Clinton is spending more time focusing on the other major upcoming primary in Indiana.

She'll be stumping in Indiana on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, pitching "Solutions for the American Economy" in Bloomington, Gary, Fort Wayne, East Chicago and South Bend.

Re: H. Clinton hits Indiana

Not that NC would go democratic anyway, but wouldn't it be interesting if the voters turned out for Clinton just to let Obama know they don't like his comments about rural people "clinging" to religion?

Obama had the chance to show that he really believes, and to apologize for his comment, but he didn't. Obama didn't talk about his faith. Instead he talked about talking about faith, about politicians needing to "go to church" so they could connect with people whose faith is important in how they vote.

What a fake.

Hit-and-Run Artists

These spammers of late are nothing more than hit-and-run artists. I have yet to see anyone who posts items such as the one below actually stick around and respond to other posters. That should be telling enough.

Can we at least get a germaneness rule?

How should we handle spam?

The rule that I have been following is no spam. I usually grab a sentence and paste it in Google. If it shows up on another blog verbatim, I delete it. Otherwise, I let it stand, even if it's tiresome, redundant or whatever.

I really don't want to spend all my time deleting comments, although I would prefer that people link to stuff rather than repost it. I'm open to suggestions on how I could set a rule that separates the wheat from the chaff without putting me in the position of making judgment calls all day long.

Is it too arbitrary for Dome to delete these random spammings?

Can we have a rule that if the comment doesn't pertain to the content of the post and is a blatant plea for support, it will be subject to deletion?

Sen. Hillary Clinton received the endorsement of the 'Pittsburgh Tribune-Review' Editorial Board on April 20,2008. The article 'In Pennsylvania's Democrat primary for president: Vote for Clinton' can be found at:
http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/opinion/archive/s_563322.html

Excerpts from the article include:

"...The presidency is no place for on-the-job training in the best of times -- and certainly not when the nation is at war, the economy is struggling, and federal governance in general is adrift."

"In sharp contrast, Clinton is far more experienced in government -- as an engaged first lady to a governor and a president, as a second-term senator in her own right."

"More important, she is extremely knowledgeable on crucial foreign issues. Meeting with Trib editors last month, she ticked off an impressive list of international challenges and the solutions..."

"As we noted at the time of that meeting, Clinton's decision to sit down with the Trib was courageous, given our longstanding criticism of her. That is no small matter. Political courage is essential in a president. Clinton has demonstrated it; Obama has not."

"She has a real record. He doesn't."

"She has experience of value to a president. He doesn't."

"Clearly, she's the wiser choice to represent Democrats this fall."

Hillary's supporters agree wholeheartedly with the 'Pittsburgh Tribune-Review' Editorial Board.

Hillary has the experience, compassion, intelligence, and tenacity to implement solutions to problems we are passionate about (bringing our troops home, strengthening the middle class, and enacting health care reforms).

Hillary in 2008!
