Bill Graham had $267,238 through April.
The Republican gubernatorial candidate received $20,244 in contributions in the first quarter of 2008, according to finance reports posted today. He had $38,000 when the filing period began in January.
Graham's donors included several physicians and lawyers. His major donors included Salisbury business owner Jake Alexander, Food Lion executive Glenn Dixon, and Union Hall, Va., lawyer Arthur Donaldson.
He has loaned his campaign nearly $1.6 million, including $350,000 from the first quarter of 2008.
From January to April, Graham spent $10,500 on research. He paid his campaign manager, Marty Ryall, $36,565 and he paid spokesman and aide Aaron Lay $23,524 in salary and expense reimbursements.
He ended the quarter with $36,407 on hand.
