Gantt to give to Obama

Former Charlotte Mayor Harvey Gantt, who ran against ran against Jesse Helms for a U.S. Senate seat in North Carolina in a contest that aroused racial animosities, says he plans to contribute to the presidential campaign of Sen. Barack Obama.

Gantt. 65, was quoted in a story on Bloomberg.com.

"It's time to pass the torch,'' said Gantt.

Who are other Democrats supporting.

This is a very interesting strategic decision for Democrats running in a primary this year.

Perdue and Moore are both supporting Obama.

Where are the candidates for Lt. Gov, Treasurer, DPI, etc?
