The Obama campaign is getting help from surrounding states for its effort in North Carolina, a key battleground in the election.
In a blog post, the campaign's "border state fellow" writes that 30 Tennesseans traveled to Charlotte last weekend to help register voters. "These Tennesseans know how much is at stake in this election, and they're putting in the time (and miles on their cars) during the hot summer months to come register voters and do their part to keep Carolina blue," the post states. The campaign is recruiting volunteers in other border states, such as South Carolina and Georgia, to help the effort.
