Ellmers to hold PAC fund raiser

GOP Rep. Renee Ellmers may have run as a political outsider, but she is quickly getting into the swing of things when it comes to insider D.C. fund raising.

She has scheduled a high dollar fund raising luncheon at the Capitol Hill Club for January 26th with political action committees being charged $2,500 or $1,000, according to an invitation.

Ellmers, a Tea Party favorite who knocked off Democratic Rep. Bob Etheridge in November, has already taken Democratic flak for participating with a dozen other Republican freshmen members in a fund raiser sponsored by America's New Majority featuring country singer LeAnn Rimes.

Also scheduled to old a DC fund raiser is Republican Rep.Walter Jones who has a “North Carolina Winter Barbecue” scheduled for January 24th at the San Manuel Townhouse on Capitol. The price of admission ranges from $500 for individuals up to $2,500 for political action committees.

What a disgusting menu!

I wouldn't pay 25 cents to attend a PAC fundraiser for Renee Ellmers -- much less $2500 dollars.  This glaring political greed is simply outrageous, but it unmasks Ellmers as the servant of powerful interests in Washington instead of the people of North Carolina.  And, frankly you could not pay me enough money to have attended her earlier fundraiser featuring LeAnn Rimes - too tacky for words!
