Edwards suspension for bookkeeping

John Edwards suspended his campaign to take care of bookkeeping.

Earlier, Dome noted the wording of his announcement today, since suspending the campaign (as opposed to withdrawing) will allow him to keep his 26 delegates, who could come into play in a brokered convention.

But an Edwards campaign spokesman said that the reason for the suspension was financial, since it allows him to continue paying staffers and take care of the books.
