Easley calls session on Wright

The legislature is coming back to town.

Gov. Mike Easley this evening announced that he is convening a special session of the legislature on March 20 to "consider matters related to Rep. Thomas Wright."

Those "matters" would be the possible explusion of Wright, a Wilmington Democrat. A legislative committee has recommended expelling Wright for a series of ethics violations.
