E. Edwards on Kennedy

Elizabeth Edwards, speaking today in Chapel Hill, had a few words to say about the death of Sen. Ted Kennedy.

"It's an enormous loss for the country," Edwards, 60, said. "His absence [in the Senate in recent months] has been a hardship to health care reform. I hope... his death will be an impetus."

Edwards, the wife of former Sen. John Edwards, spoke at UNC-Chapel Hill today to promote her appearance next month at the N.C. Literary Festival, reports Anne Blythe.

Re: E. Edwards on Kennedy

Has anyone other than me had quite enough of the Edwards? "Mean-spirited " has become code for making a relevant point. The desire to steal 50% or more of ones's earnings is a catalyst for mean.

Re: E. Edwards on Kennedy

Marilyn .... you cannot imagine how little I care about your opinion of me.

I only wish my comments drove you into an even greater rage. Maybe they will next time.

Four stories on this woman in less than a week. YOU are more deserving of such over-the-top publicity than she is.

Re: E. Edwards on Kennedy

AgentPierce - It is you who is "ridiculous" with your negative and often mean-spirited comments about Elizabeth Edwards every time N&O writes an article about her or her husband. Are you jealous of the attention that you even bother to post on articles written about the Edwardses family?

BTW - The Edwardses personally knew Senator Kennedy so her commenting on his passing is out of RESPECT for a friend, something you obviously don't possess.

Re: E. Edwards on Kennedy

OH GOOD LORD ...... is there no end to "ELIZABETH EDWARDS SAYS ...... " by the N&O. I accept that this woman is a local celebrity because the area media so decided many months ago.

Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian and Lizzie Edwards ..... which faux-celebrity recently opened a silly little furniture store on Chapel Hill?

This ridiculous Elizabeth Overkill can only be compared to SNL's old Chevy Chase bit ..... every week for months Chevy would announce "General Francisco Franco is still dead ....". Every week (nay every DAY) the N&O reminds us "Elizabeth Edwards did nothing again today but we'll still tell you about it anyway".

What a joke
