A spreadsheet detailing gifts Verizon Business said its employees gave to state workers. Verizon Business had a $51.5 million, no-bid contract with the state. Not everyone on the list necessarily received a gift.

These state "workers" have been eating all this high class food on Verizon's tab......and now we are having to raise health insurance rates on obese state workers. There may be a link between suppliers offering "high-on-the-hog" dinners and the rise in obesity among state personnel.
We would be better off if the suppliers dropped the price of state contracts by the same amount as the food. And then the state workers could eat some salads and lose weight, thus reducing health care costs.
Either they got a gift or got super dupper nice meals, etc. which is the same as a gift. It is all influence peddling by Verizon there is no doubt about that.
