Ann Coulter, the provocative conservative columnist and commentator, is coming to Raleigh in September to speak to the Wake County Republican Women.
Coulter is scheduled to speak Sept. 19 at North Ridge Country Club, reports Rob Christensen.
She is the author of such books as "How to Talk to a Liberal (If you Must)" and "If Democrats Had Any Brains They'd Be Republicans."
Her comments can sometimes be biting. During the 2008 presidential campaign, she referred to Sen. Barack Obama's book, "Dreams of My Father," as a "dimestore Mein Kampf."
She all but accused Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards of North Carolina of being gay during a speech to the 2007 Conservative Political Action Conference, which, in retrospect, seems a little misguided.
